Saner paints a new mural during his art residency in Detroit

Saner recently took part in the 1xRun residency project, creating some new work during his stay in Detroit. Along with gallery works for their Cinco De Mayo exhibition, Mexico City-based artist painted a new large mural in southwest part of the city.
Taking the building's color as background lead, the artist used couple of tones of purple and orange and created this signature piece. From tribal masks to symbols, patterns and nature, Saner used familiar visual elements borrowed from rich Mexican tradition to create this refreshing colorful piece. If you're visiting motor city, you can see this work at the Bee Be supermarket @ 7250 W Lafayette Blvd.
Check out more photos by Sal Rodriguez after the jump and check back soon for more updates from around the US.
