Gaia New Mural - Istanbul, Turkey

Gaia recently spent some time in Istanbul taking part @ Language of the Wall project organized by the Pera Museum, a private museum in the Tepebaşı quarter of the Beyoğlu district.

Gaia recently spent some time in Istanbul taking part @ Language of the Wall project organized by the Pera Museum, a private museum in the Tepebaşı quarter of the Beyoğlu district. As a part of this project, he recently finished this large mural overlooking the Bosphorus. Painting a full bleed piece on a difficult surface, the young artist created a bright mural showing blue forget me nots flowers and falling helmets. Known for creating meaningful works that connect to local stories, this symbolic and emotive image was inspired by the activism of Workers' Families In Pursuit of Justice, to memorialize those that have lost their lives in labor murders throughout Turkey. The mural can be seen @ Kargili Sk, in Sultanahmet part of the city if you're in the area.
Check out more process images after the jump, and feel free to check back for more info from Turkey and the rest of the world.
