Faith47 New Pieces - Durban, South Africa (Part II)

While she started working on these pieces last July, Faith47 is back in Durban, South Africa where she just wrapped up her sixth pieces for the 25th World Congress on Architecture, UIA2014 Durban.

While she started working on these pieces last July, Faith47 is back in Durban, South Africa where she just wrapped up her sixth piece for the 25th World Congress on Architecture, UIA2014 Durban.
Faith was originally introduced to the area by Doung Jahangeer, a Durban artist architect and co-founder of dalacreative.
Referring to Warwick triangle she says, “I’m specifically interested in exploring this notion of the informal economy.
I was struck by the potent energy of this area.  The paintings are portraits of some of the traders in the area,
a tribute to the everyday man on the street.”
"So much of our shared space and our city architecture is alienating to the individual.
Interventions within public spaces allow for a visual gap in which people can breathe and feel again"

Take a look at more images after the break and check back with us soon for more fresh updates from Faith47.
